Vision for Learning
Our Vision for Learning project utilizes advanced auto-refractor technology to assess the eyesight of children in our service area and beyond. Initial screenings are conducted using the familiar Floating E chart. If potential vision issues are identified, clients undergo further evaluation with the auto-refractor—a portable device developed for use in remote locations around the world. For those who require glasses, the Vision program crafts them on-site, allowing students to leave with improved vision the same day. At select clinics, adults are also invited to the self-service reading glasses table, an offering that remains a popular feature especially among seniors.
