Health/ Ecology Projects

La Misión Rotary is dedicated to the health of our planet and all its inhabitants. Understanding the importance of a healthy planet and lifestyle starts with education, and La Misión Elementary School is stepping up to meet this need.

With the support of Rotary and Earthways Foundation, a terraced garden is being created on the hillside next to the school. This garden will serve as a living laboratory, teaching students about geology, horticulture, erosion management, hydrology, conservation, and more.

We have also been a long time supporter of the Food Bank in La Misión. This organization, administered by the La Misión Children's Fund, serves 650 families each month including 1600 children.
