About the Rotary Club of La Misión
Since the Rotary Club of La Misión started in 2016, we have raised and spent nearly $100,000 and volunteered thousands of labor hours to support our mission and Rotary International’s work. We focus on the following areas: University Scholarships, School Improvements, Bomberos/Firefighters, Health/Ecology, High Impact Projects, The Vision Project and the La Misión Food Bank.​​​​​​​

Our mission is to partner with local communities to create sustainable gains in health, education, nutrition, and quality of life.

We proudly serve communities in the areas of La Misión, Santa Anita, Primo Tapia, and Puerto Nuevo in Baja California, Mexico, and we call our club “The Best in Baja!"
We have passionate participation by members of Mexican communities and ex-pat American communities. Our meetings are run in English but we project closed captioned translations for our Spanish speaking members.
We value members who participate both financially and actively, but we realize that both are not feasible for everyone. Therefore we have different types of membership that allow membership based on dues and/or participation.

Members of our club are members of Rotary International, with 46,000 clubs on every continent. Rotary is a global network of more than 1.4 million neighbors, friends, and volunteer leaders offering their knowledge and resources to solve problems and address community needs. Rotarians around the world donated approximately 47 million hours of volunteer work and $291 million in service projects last year.
No challenge is too big for us - for more than a century, we have built bridges between cultures and connected continents. We defend peace, fight illiteracy and poverty, help people access clean water and sanitation, and fight disease. Our newest cause is protecting our planet and its resources.
